About Us
Where High Energy Turns Into Unforgettable Memories
Hi, I’m Stu.
I’m a dad, photographer, and unofficial “toddler-whisperer” helping families in Collin County and surrounding areas capture authentic, stress-free family photos.
When you book a family photo session, you aren't just paying for pretty pictures. You're trusting someone with your family's precious moments. As a dad I know firsthand that family life isn't a stiff, posed studio session. It’s dynamic, fast-moving, and full of personality.
Before my youngest daughter was born, we moved to Anna, Texas to escape the hustle and bustle of busy Dallas life while still being able to be close to experience all that it had to offer. I built Heirloom Portrait Photography to give parents an experience where they can take a deep breath, hand off the stress, and actually enjoy making memories together.
What If My Kids Don’t Cooperate?
Worried Your Kids Won’t Sit Still?
Good. They Don’t Have To.
If you’re worried your toddler won't smile, your child will refuse to sit still, or your partner will count down the minutes until it’s over(looking at you, Dads), you are in good hands.
Let me let you in on a little secret: I don't force children to pose. I guide them into play.
Whether it’s playing tag in a field, chasing sunbeams, or giving them a 'job' as my assistant during the session, I use lighthearted, play-based prompts that bring out genuine laughter. Some of the absolute best portraits come from the moments right after a silly dance move or an unexpected giggle.
The Stress-Free Guarentee
Patience First: No clock watching, no rushing, and zero pressure. If your little one needs five minutes to run off some energy or snag a snack, we pivot without stress.
Efficiency is Key: I keep the sessions moving swiftly so that kids(and Dads) stay engaged without feeling exhausted.
Full Service Care: From helping you with wardrobe color coordination to designing custom wall art for your home, I handle the heavy lifting so you can just show up and shine.
